PRESS RELEASE
Edinburgh's Sick Kid's Friends Foundation receives £2500
Edinburgh's Sick Kids Friends Foundation received an early Christmas present when the city's Spread Good Vibes store, located at Avanley Terrace, Whitehouse Loan, presented the local charity with £2,500.
Life is good® donate a portion of all sales to charities for children who face unfair challenges in their lives, with both local and national charities benefiting.
Fiona Miller, Community Fundraiser from the Sick Kids Friends foundation was presented with the generous donation by store manager Dawn Donald, at the store's official opening. The money will be used to go towards the upgrade of the parents facilities at the hospital.
Commenting on the donation Maureen Harrison, Director of the Sick Kids Friends Foundation said:
'This kind gift will make a big difference to those who stay in our Parent Accommodation beside the hospital. We will use this gift to upgrade the bathrooms so that parents will have access to a shower on each floor. Mums and Dads will be able to pop across to the accommodation to enjoy a lovely refreshing shower after a long night's vigil at their wee one's bedside.
Good facilities like these help to recharge their batteries so that they can cope with the many challenges which they face with a child in hospital.
'Spread Good Vibes' has really helped to make life good at the hospital!"
